“It is hard to wrap my head around this tournament starting with hockey in the old Johnny MacDonald arena with 6 high school teams and raising a few thousand dollars to now having around 500 students playing hockey and soccer and raising over $100,000 a year. With a total of over one million dollars now raised and distributed to local kids since the charity’s inception, is a tremendous community achievement. The 3D Children’s Charity Hockey and Soccer Tournament has supported hundreds of kids all over the Peace Country and has become a consistent support system for local students and their families. A support system that includes an amazing board of directors, over 100 generous local business sponsors, a giving community, and incredible students and staff from the Peace Wapiti Public School Division, Grande Prairie Catholic School Division, and Grande Prairie Public School Division are the backbone of the charity.”
