“When asked to join the 3D Charity it was a resounding yes for me as I had the privilege of being a part of the event as a student athlete, and couldn’t be more excited about stepping into a board position. It is incredible to me to see how this event has grown over the years from a 6-team single sport event in its inception in 1999 to the spectacular multi-sport, multi venue event, involving the hundreds of students that it has become today. The event is an exciting aspect to be a part of, but most importantly why I got involved is the impact the event has on those children in our community who tragically are faced with severe and life-threatening illnesses. A person cannot imagine what a child and what a family goes through emotionally during these devastating experiences, the 3D Charity providing an avenue for Families to alleviate a small part of the immense financial burden that occurs during these times is a major point of emphasis as to why I became a part of the 3D Charity team. An additional reason I am extremely proud to be a part of this great initiative is the local aspect of our Charity, the funds raised are directly assisting local children and families. As the 3D Charity grows, I hope our group can continue to raise awareness and be a resource that children and families can go to in their times of need.”
